In this ongoing class, students will learn from a complete 3rd grade curriculum. Class will consist of lesson/lecture, practice, and games. Students will have the option of completing homework on Brainzy, Education.com’s learning app. In this class, students will learn Spelling, vocabulary, sight words, Language arts, math, writing, science, geography, history, etc. I will be using a full curriculum that I purchased that is made by certified teachers, through screen share. I will also be using a screen share as we read books relevant to our topics. I will be using Epicschool for book resources, as well as additional texts that I have purchased. Here is a sample of the first month of curriculum. Specific vocabulary and spelling word lists are not owned by me, so I won’t list here.
The Week of Sep 4 : Spelling, vocabulary, sight words, nouns, personal narrative, hundred thousands place, continents, scientific method.
The Week of Sept 11: Spelling, vocabulary, sight words, plural nouns, descriptive words, addition strategies, subtraction strategies, continents, buoyancy, science word search.
The Week of Sept 18: Spelling, vocabulary, sight words, irregular plural nouns, commas and quotation marks, addition +subtraction , rounding, matter, coordinates.
The Week of Sept 25: Spelling, vocabulary, sight words, regular and irregular plural nouns, transition words, rounding, adding bills and coins, matter, coordinates, scientific method, geography quiz.
I will supplement with other topics of interest. For example, if a student likes to draw, we can add in drawing into our subjects.
